This is the 1979 Lombard RAC Rally winning livery for the Ford Escort Mk2 driven by Hannu Mikkola and Arne Hertz. Mikkola and Hertz were only beaten in the Championship
that year by one point by Ford team mates Bjorn Waldegard and Hans Thorszelius who were also driving a Ford Escort Mk2 RS1800. Because of this, The Ford Rally team won the
manufacturers title for 1979 by taking wins in Portugal, Greece, New Zealand, Canada and Great Britain.
